From when she was only 16 years old, she signed under BMG as a part of a teenage girl group “4 In Love”. After they disbanded, she signed a 5-year contract of $5,000,000 with SonyBMG. Her first album “Ambiguous” was an unexpected success, and she established a place for herself as a little “queen of advertisements.”
Sources report that although this time’s proposed contract of $50,000,000 cannot compare with Jolin’s $120,000,000 for switching from Capitol, Rainie’s situation is quite rare, as she is not only a singer, but she also does acting, hosting and filming ads, hence she has considerable commercial value.
