Korean entertainers getting ready for better lives

Kang Min Kyung (Da vici), Lee Hong Ki (FT Island), Jo Kwon (2AM), and Chang Sung (2PM) are planning to go and get a better life, by taking their university entrance exams this year! In Korea, Exam days are usually taken on the coldest day in Fall or Winter.

Joo from JYP, Sun Ye from Wonder Girls, and SooYoung from Girls’ Generation will be attending school at Chung-Ang University.

Hangry & Angry to release album in U.S.

Somewhere last month, news broke out that graduates of Morning Musume, Hitomi Yoshizawa and Rika Ishizawa are going to form a pop-rock group together that will be called Hangry and Angry. It is official that this news were true, and their first mini-album will be releasing a simultaneous release in the U.S.

In this mini album, the duo “Kill Me, Kiss Me”, is going to be released under an indie label on the 19th of November. In Japan, this new mini-album will be released in Tsutaya, WonderGOO, Sumiya, and Virgin Megastore.

On the same day of the release in Japan a CD-only version will also be released in the U.S. from efforts of JapanFiles. This album will also be available on sites to download music.

Hangry & Angry will have their first live performance in Shibuya on November 28. In 2009, they are planning an international campaign in Japan, Europe, and the U.S.

Next to star in Boys Before Flowers…

Another actress has been added to the Korean version of the hit Japanese drama/Manga, Hana Yori Dango. Kim Hyun Joo, last seen in Insoon is Pretty, will be playing a specific role in this talked about drama as Doumyouji Tsukasa’s older sister.

She will be called Gun Jun-Hee in this new drama and is a big successor in the Tsukasa family. In the drama, She is going to be living in the U.S. but is taking care of her younger brother, Goo Joon Pyo, which is played by Lee Min Ho.

This new drama will air on KBS2 and is planning to release this winter.

Yuichi Nakamaru lands a role

Yuichi Nakamaru from the famous boyband, KAT-TUN, will be playing a role in a new Japanese drama called “RESCUE: Tokubetsu Koudo Kyuujotai”. This new drama will air on TBS every saturdays starting this upcoming January at 7:56 P.M.

Nakamaru is going to play a young firefighter that tries to be part of a special rescue team, when he saved a child’s life. This new series will be filmed with a real rescue squad in Yokohama.

Also, Takahisa Masuda from boyband, NEWS, will be playing as a cadet in the rescue team. They both are training for this role, and hope this new drama will be a hit.
