Maeng Gina has been unveiled and is said to be the cousin of Boys Over Flower’s cutie, Kim Bum. Right now she is in her 4th year of at Korea University majoring in international studies and communication.

In 2001, she appeared on JYP’s ”Park Jin Young’s Talented Voice Project 99% Challenge.” She was chosen to join JYP Entertainment. She has trainedfor 5 years to become a singer.

In April 2006, Kim Bum wrote on his CyWorld “  You’re a senior to me in life and in the entertainment business, you’re family and a friend and we can share the same struggles, my older cousin Gina! This time you really prepared a lot to debut as a singer” When she released her first digital single.

She has also sang for Cain And Abel OST. Sadly, she never had much of a sucess in the music business.

But she has been noticed quite a few times after she was one of the two Koreans that made the first out of 50 million people chose of a few million who auditioned in the global project “Dream Career” (Island Caretaker). Check out her application and she speaks great English!!
