Evolution of Kpop (1995 – 2011) Part 1 … NOW OUT!!

Honestly, this project took over three months to complete from finding information, translating, downloading, brainstorming, editing, saving, losing files and so on. This was one of the longest project I had done. To even better the video, I spent my hard earned time trying to find a perfect editing software to make the video look clean cut for all of you guys and trust me, I tried. It may not look nice and neat to some, but please understand the time spent to make this video.

Firstly, let me explain what this video is about. The first video (part 1) will introduce what the Hallyu Wave and Kpop are. It will discuss the international fame it took and then we shall move on to videos and music. If you don’t understand what I mean, watch the video. Continue reading

[Throwback] g.o.d Learns How To Lie

I was editing my project for the whole little “Evolution of Kpop (1995 – 2011)” stuff and this was one of the songs that would be included in the project, but not revealed in the trailer of course. Thanks to this little project that I’m doing, I have a TON of throwback Kpop videos for all of you guys to check out. Anyway, I heard the song throughout while editing and this song is just beautifully.. mean. Lyric wise. But the voices were surprising and soft and just all around great. The lyrics just surprise me cause it’s really ballad and then to find out he’s talking about leaving his girlfriend.. shocking.

This throwback song is titled “Lies” by g.o.d. Now, g.o.d debuted in the year of 1999 with the song “To Mother.” They immediately became one of the hottest boy bands in all of KPop history. Their name g.o.d (지오디) stands for Groove Over Dose. Neat, huh? Their group name is usually lowercase, so many wouldn’t confuse or criticize them for using God. Continue reading

Evolution of Kpop Trailer.. OUT!

Remember how I said I’d make a video on how Kpop music has progressed for a few years… well, I’m almost done! In order to tease those who have been waiting for it and to open the eyes of those who never knew about it, I made a 1 minute and thirty five second trailer. It’s not the best editing job, but it’s something, right?

This project pretty much talks about how Kpop has grown since the year of 1995 to 2011. I will separate the years in parts, so I can handle giving the videos out without making people wait too much. The video will talk about what Kpop is and how the Hallyu Wave is slowly taking a strong impact across the world. If you don’t know what the Hallyu Wave is, expect to know what it is by the time I begin uploading the videos. The video will also contain information on Kpop from the 90s to now. It will also inform viewers on the negative and postive impacts of it and some of the information I found was actually pretty shocking. Continue reading
